Introduction

In 2017, for the seventh time, International Conference On Islam In Malay World (ICON IMAD) was held in a cooperation among four universities from four countries. There are Postgraduate Program of State Islamic University Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Indonesia, Post-Graduate Program of Islamic Studies Academy of University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia, Islamic College Prince of Songkla University of Thailand and Sultan Sharif Ali University of Brunei Darussalam. This year's agenda is the continuation of the previous ICON IMAD event. The ICON IMAD I was held in Bandung (Indonesia) in 2011; ICON IMAD II was held in APIUM in 2012; ICON IMAD III was held in Bandung (Indonesia) in 2013; ICON IMAD IV was held at Klana Beach Resort Port Dickson (Malaysia) in 2014; ICON IMAD V was held at Prince Songkla University (Thailand) in 2015; ICON IMAD VI held at Sultan Sharif Ali University, UNISSA (Brunei Darussalam).
